Righty, Im toying with the idea of building a little SFF PC that will allow me to play some games in my front room on the TV.

Now obviously, windows 7 is the only way to go as linux distros a crap for games. How does Windows 7 hold up as an OS for use like a console?

Good/Bad?

Is there anything that can be done to better the experience?

Game pads with keyboards on them (ala the 360 gamepad and keyboard inone)

Is this something that isnt going to work?

//you'll definately want a 360 pad. I'd pair it with one of those combined keyboard / touchpad things (ie laptop style) for installing, web browsing etc. Win7 is very suitable for this.

360 keyboard sucks.

You want a 360 controller for racing and some FPS's and then a wireless keyboard with touchpad and a good mouse like the G9 for other FPS's and strategy games.
