i was wondering if any of u guys could point me in the direction of any other good demos that work on windows 7

i tried to intsall cod4 but it came up with an error when extracting the files

any help is much appreciated

now i can finally stop drooling over the games and actually play them :)

all the best guys

Any/all modern games that work on XP and Vista will work fine. CoD4 should work fine, try again.

Nope not all modern games that run on Xp or Vista will run on Win7. But 99% do. And if it dont, right click on the games .exe file, go to properties, and select Vista compability mode.

Fallout 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge, Dead Space, and GRID are quality games and also look good.

Yep this is correct, there are very few problems running games on Win7.

I heard there was a problem with games that run punkbuster and Win7, which might explain the CoD 4 issue.

Wouldn't stop you installing the game though, it just boots you from multiplayer games, but as others have said it is fixed now, Try redownloading the demo.

punkster is fixed on win7 now

It's not fixed for everyone. I for one still can't play CoD4 on Win7 but can play other PB protected games like CoD5.

There are lots of games out there that don't work properly or at all in Win7 but most of them didn't work that well in Vista either. Rally Trophy has issues with controller setup, Richard Burns Rally has various issues of which most are solvable, old Starforce protected games won't work at all.

Still, most games do work just fine. If you are pondering between Vista and 7, it's safe to say 7 will in most cases be the better choice.
