windows 7 - Google Chrome Freezing

Hi

The following websites are freezing when I use google chrome on a windows 7 computer. After browsing 3+ pages on these news sites the webpage freezes.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html

Some other sites are also causing my PC problems.

I have attempted to disable flash, this didn't stop the freezing.

System specs? Do you use an ad blocker?

Are you sure? In Chrome, Go to Settings -> Show Advanced Settings -> and scroll all the way to the bottom, "Use hardware acceleration when avaliable".

Also worth making sure you have the latest drivers for your 670 if hardware acceleration is enabled.

Yeah hardware acceleration is on.
If I disable it, the sites above still freeze.

Does the same happen with Internet Explorer or Firefox?

Firefox is slower but doesn't freeze.
IE is very slow.

Ok

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome using Revo uninstall and the sites above are still freezing.

Using Reflect I went to a 4 week old backup, but when you update Chrome the problems with freezing started happening.

These problems started around 4th May 2016.
