Would the license key from windows 7 home premium on a old laptop work on a new pc, would I be able to update it to windows 11.

I’m at the stage where I have windows 11 pro on a usb. No os has been installed on my new pc build. So I plug usb in pc, turn pc on and when asked for license key just try my Vista or windows 7 key and see what happens?

You can try your 7 key of course, it will either work or not.

Vista and Win 7 both failed to work but all good now. Both pc’s are wrapped up now for tomorrow. Just ran out time so busy day tomorrow. Two pc desk and chairs to build, one vanity and chair to build. Two pc to finish setting up as well travelling around seeing the family.
