Hi all,
I have two new computers, a laptop and a desktop machine both with windows 7. I am trying to set them up for homegroup via an o2 router.
The problem is that both computers are willing to create a homegroup but neither want to join one or the other's created homegroup.
I have taken the laptop to a friends house who has a windows 7 desktop machine and a netgear dg834g router and the desktop already had a homegroup created on it and the laptop was able to see it and joined effortlessly.
Any ideas what may be causing my network setup with the o2 router not to work for homegroup? Could it actually be the o2 router? There can't be that many differences between my win 7 desktop PC and my friends, therefore the only real difference being the router?
