Windows 7 host file doesn't work...

Hello.

I use my hosts file to block adverts within certain applications (not Firefox) but recently it has stopped working and have no idea why... I've tried remaking it, checking the formatting but all looks OK. The only thing I can see that is different is this little padlock?

Does anyone have any ideas? Here is a small extract from it.

I can modify the file OK and the changes appear in the file. Under security, myself, SYSTEM and administrators has full control (including modify, read and write).

Huh, just tried this again but with UAC disabled (previously was using CMD in admin mode to move the file) and it has worked a treat. Thanks.

I only really use it to blocks adds on MSN and the blocked hosts have been working since the flash adverts they use started annoying me. I've only changed it to create a host name for something that doesn't have DNS on my LAN.
