Windows 7 -How to check serial used on pc/laptop

Hi there,

I have 2 copies of Windows 7, one used on my wifes laptop and another on my PC (which is being split up and sold).

I'd like to sell one of the copies of Windows 7 but I don't want to sell the version that is attached to the laptop.

Is there a way to find which version is which? And is it possible to unregister the other version that was used on the PC?

Program doesn't seem to work for me, I click find key and there is an error popup that instantly closes the program (and the popup)

No need to unregister as far as I know , as long as it is no longer on any PC when it is next installed there should be no problem activating it again on new hardware.

And no need to unregister. Make sure you nuke the HDD with it on though.

you only need to pay for it to get certain keys (like Office 2010 and the like)
