My dad has windows 7 hp 64 and 32 bit disks its the retail box. We are both currently running on the same ip address. Can i still use his disk and code even though its a different machine but we are still on same ip address? I know you cant on OEM but was not sure on retail box.

Thanks

The last time I checked, you can run retail Win 7 on 3 systems, but, only one at a time.

No, it's one concurrent install.

No. You can only have the copy installed on one system at a time.

You can run retail on as many systems as want, but only on one system at a time.

Surely two different PC's would have different IP addresses and MAC addresses

They would certainly have different components, so when win7 phones home i would realise something is wrong and ask for reauth each time you switched machines.

You would be breaking your licence agreement if you do as you are suggesting.

Thats their internal ip address, on your network. The external ip address (on the interwebz) is the same, as your on the same phone line.

As far as im aware theres no way (atleast easy?) to find the internal ip.
