I was given the above notebook with the drive wiped via Kill Disk. I have managed to install Win 7 (legit) on to this notebook. But here's the downer in that I am trying to install the latest drives for this model and no matter which set I try to install there are 3 different models on HP website. the Network card is just not recognised meaning I cant access the internet or try any of the HP tools to get the correct drivers.
Thing is the notebook will accept usb and can see wireless connections just not the standard. Also when you go into Device manager nearly all the chipset and audio drivers are coming up with not authentic even though they came from the HP website and are the correct model.
does anyone have any idea on how to get round this please? I could have course hook up a wireless dongle and down via 3G but alas I don't have access to this method.
