Windows 7 in built Virtual Machine

Another Virtual Machine question - I managed to get this all working however when I run certain applications it forces the VM resolution to change, for example I run it at 1920 by xxxx however when I run this one thing (game) it force changes it to 800x600 which is tiny and I can not even read the writing. Anyone know of a way to force the resolution I want and to stop this game from changing the resolution?
