I've always just installed windows 7 with no hitch - on various machines.

Now when it gets to the bit where I choose the hard drive to install it on all i get is 'no device drivers found, make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers and then click OK'.

What is this a problem with?! I installed windows 7 on my laptop with this USB not 30 minutes ago, now on my desktop i'm getting this...

On some older motherboards win7 can't read the chipsets to find the drive. Have a look on the motherboard providers site and see if windows 7 is supported.

When you get that error, Cancel and go back to the main screen where it says "Install Now" or something like that.
And then remove the USB stick and plug it in to another USB port, and now try again.
This happened to me last week! I found an article stating this solution but I can't find it now.

Same problem happened to me a number of times when trying to install windows from a USB. Seemed to occur when I created a bootable USB using Microsoft own USB tool. However, if I did it manually I had no problems at all!
