Windows 7 Install

I'm trying to install Windows 7 OEM Edition (64bit)

I insert the disc and set as this drive to boot first.

It looks like it reads the disc but it says Insert Boot Media in selected boot Device.

I have MSI C45-770 Mobo
DVD Drive
AMD Athlon II 630

Is the windows 7 install different to any other time i've done it, or is it me?
Can anyone help?

Either your media is damaged or your drive is gubbed.

If you have another disc drive it is worth seeing if it works using that.

If you have another copy of windows lying around (old xp disk or something) try that, if it works you no its the disk and not the drive.

Put the ISO of Windows 7 onto a memory stick and run from there? Personally i tried this and it was going painfully slow so i had better luck off the dvd. It did take me a more than 5 attempts to install Windows 7 due to combination of knackered cds and bad drive
