Windows 7 installed after Linux Mint

Hi

My main hd and os died a few weeks ago and I installed Linux Mint 12 to get my system up and running so I could continue working and next week I will be getting another hd that I plan to use to install Windows 7 64 bit.

What I would like to know is what sort of problems and or maybe somebody could point out a site explaining what needs to be done to have the installation go through as it should and keep Linux.

I work as a translator and must have Windows running, but LInux is great and I don't want to lose it as it's perfect for my wife to surf the internet with etc...

Oh, LInux and Windows will have their own separate hd's.

What I would do is..

Physically disconnect existing Mint disk
Install new disk
Finish Installing windows on it
Reconnect old Mint disk

Either

a) Leave as-is, set bios default boot drive to linux and use bios disk boot menu to select the other boot disk(often F11 on startup) on the rare occasion you need to use windows.

b) Set the bios to boot from the linux drive and setup grub to show a boot menu with windows listed on it. Running "sudo update-grub" should generate you a boot menu and detect the windows drive. You can then choose Linux or Windows from a nice boot menu.

There are other ways to do this but nothing quite as safe on your data as disconnecting the drive
