A friend of my mum's partner has just emailed me with the following and I haven't the foggiest what it may be:
Any ideas? Could it be that the images are very large or something to do with indexing?
I am using Windows 7 - Home Premium. I do a lot of graphic work, and the problem I will describe has occurred before. I solved it then, but it has happened again, and this time I am stuck. I have been working on a series of images in .jpg format, taken at two locations over the past weekend. They are in seperate folders in the 'pictures libraries' with sub-folders in each folder.
I was working on both folders this morning, then having returned to them, I have been unable to access any images, although they gradually start to appear, one by one, but very slowly, and I mean slowly. I know they are still in the respective folders, as properties clearly shows them, and when I used the shareware programme - Irfan View - the images all appeared immediately. For some reason which I do not know, Windows seems to have placed a block on viewing all the images in the 'pictures library', and not just in the two folders mentioned.
Any assistance in solving this will be much appreciated. I have 'googled' and it seems others have had a similar problem but I cannot understand most of the possible responses.
