Windows 7 issue..

I bought Windows 7 (Home premium- full retail) from overclockers earlier this year and i installed it onto my computer but didnt register it straight away. My windows 7 case and disc was left in an empty monitor box, which my clean freak gf ended up binning.

As you can understand i wasn't too happy and im stuck with a crap authorisation message every 30 mins which interrupts my gaming...not good.

Is there any way i can resolve this without having to shell out another £120 for a replacement?

Any help is appreciated.

Without a code as a point of reference for Microsoft i doubt they will do anything
as they ask for the code off the system if you dont have the box, but if you didnt authorise
the copy anyway there will be no registration code there so i doubt they will help.

Im putting my money on Microsoft saying that you will have to buy another version of
Windows7 just for the registration code.

Why did u not just put it straight in anyway???
if you dont mind my asking.

There is a way to re-arm the countdown timer but this will just delay the inevitable need to activate Windows for another 90 days. As mentioned above though I can't see Microsoft helping you if you don't have a code.

I didnt have a constant internet connection at the time so i just cancelled it as it said i could register at a later date.

I assume you have the key/serial? If not then I suggest using magic jelly bean to find this from your installation

That program seems to have worked spot on i cant believe it!!! Thanks for the link i looked everywhere and no one suggested that it was possible to find it in the registry data.

Thanks for your help guys, (especially marmalade for saving me in excess of £100 lol)
