Windows 7 key help

Hi

I have just finished installing my new hardware in my pc and have just installed windows 7 home premium retail for the second time but it will not activate my key what can i do?

Should have the option to activate by phone then it will give you the number.

Well i just spoke to someone at microsoft and explained to them that my motherboard had broke ect

and they gave me a new id code and my windows 7 is activated again now.

I didnt now you could only activate windows 7 premium once i thought maybe three times.

If you have retail, you didn't need to to lie to them. You can activate it as often as you like.

What you can't do is have it installed at the same time more than once.

I have retail copy yes and i have just upgraded my pcs motherboard and cpu i don get what you mean by the same time?

He means you can't have it on more than one machine at a time.

But he's right, you had no need to lie if you did.
