Hello I have a strange problem.

I was looking for some logitech config files that needed deleting in the users folder, I couldnt find the correct folder so I tried properties then clicked hidden files and apply. This was taking too long so stupidly I clicked cancel. Now everything in my libraries folder has disappeared along with most of what was on the desktop. I've tried system restore but it hasnt helped. I havnt really explained it well but its been doing my head in all evening, hopefuly someone else has done the same and knows a way of fixing it because this is really confusing me.

Im using windows 7 64 ultimate edition.

When you set the Hidden attribute in properties it makes that file/folder hidden. What else did you expect?

Simply right-click on the folder again and uncheck hidden and apply it to all subfolders. You might need to set them all to hidden and turn it off again - to make it change.

Yeah I got confused I thought it meant show hidden files not hide them. You were right I needed to hide them all again then unhide them. Thank you!

I feel like an idiot, this is the first time I have been confused since I changed back to Windows from Ubuntu.
