Hi,

On my new work pc I have Windows 7 Pro 32bit installed with the licence key stuck on the usual label on the outside.

I presume that this is an OEM Licence. My question is does this licence allow me to install the 64 bit version of 7 Pro with the same licence key?

Thanks in advance.

Russell

The licence key will work on any Operating System of the type stated. For instance, it will only work on either 32BIT or 64BIT versions of Windows 7 Home Premium, but not on Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise.

OEM or Retail, makes no difference as long as it's the same type, 64 or 32BIT also makes no difference.

An OEM disc is required. Also only ONE can be installed at a time. You cannot have a 32-bit and 64-bit installation using the same Product Key at the same time.

If I burnt a new dvd after deleting the ei.cfg file to allow for all version installation. Would then accept the oem key?
