What's the lowest people are running Win 7 on?

Well i had it on a netbook with a 1.6Ghz atom and a gig of RAM so id imagine anything from a P3 and up will run it fine.

There is a thread on here somewhere that people have posted the lowest spec machines Win7 is running on for them. Although my search skills are failing me atm.

Had the RC version running on an old shuttle SN41G2 with a Athlon XP2600 ... even managed to persuade it to install some ancient drivers for a GeForce 6800LE gfx card ... though this was just to get a larger display than 800x600 - didn't attempt anything "3d" with it!

Also, this was more of a "proof of concept" idea and to see whether having a PC connected to our main TV was useful.

I've had Vista and Aero running on similar.

I've got Win7 installed on my Acer 150 notebook, it runs Unreal Tournament nicely

Had a stripped down version of it on my eee701 for about 6 months, worked great!

Installed it on a virtual machine with 512MB RAM. Ran surprisingly well.

Installed on a Athlon XP running at 2GHZ with 1gig ram and onboard sis shared graphics card. Even though it was unable to do Aero my friend loves it and says it performs better than XP did.

Looking at installing windows 7 on my parents SN41G2 shuttle..It's using the onboard Geforce 4MX and i think it has 1GB ram and socket A AMD XP1800 cpu

Installed it on a Pentium M 1.73ghz with 1GB of RAM and a GeForce 6800LE. Played some Left4Dead and it didn't run too well, lol. But general system performance was OK....not ideal though. Think it needed more rams.

Good luck ... now you mention it I realize I was using the onboard 4MX and not the 6800 card.

win7 doesn't recognize the onboard gfx and thus you only get the default VGA 800x600 dispaly. BUT after a little googling I discovered that if you find a nvidia driver set from the time that the 4mx was "current" then unpack the archive and do a manual drive install then the old xp drivers seem to work in win7.
