Windows 7 MCE

hi, got myself an MCE remote the other day to make life a bit easier watching films. love it, no more hunting through folders for what i want everything has a picture and is in genres with writeups about the film. but.............it is incredibly slow. when browsing through the menus it locks up (freezes) then jumps along to catch up. not actually watched a film yet so dont know whether that will have issues too, just wondered if this was a common MCE issue and if there were tweaks to speed it up a bit.

Yeah my Windows 7 MCE seems to do this, I am using it on an older machine so wasnt sure if it was this that was causing the issue.

AMD X2 4600+, 2GB RAM

I find Windows MCE quite resource heavy sometimes, always puts my CPU under quite a bit of load and makes the CPU fan spin up a lot.

yeh, my pc should be able to handle it i would have thought. but there must be 100+ films in there plus god knows how many albums so maybe i just expected too much from the app.
