Is there any way to see what is using all my memory?

Surely it can't be super-fetch as when I run a heavy program like Photoshop CS5 or VMWare, memory usage goes up to 3.9GB and system becomes really unresponsive.

Only solution is to restart PC but I don't want to be doing this.

I know its no help but I get a memory leak whenever I copy any large amount of data from one hard drive to another :(

that's definitely odd. sorry i can't be of more help but i can affirm that that looks like unusual behaviour to me.

That is what I think may be my problem. I use a download manager (IDM), it is multithreaded download so when I download a large file (6GB+) it has to append all the parts together.

I tried downloading some MS memory leak hotfixes but still high memory usage :(

If it's a bad kernel mode driver from ESET the problem should go away if you uninstall the firewall component, which would at least narrow it down for you.

80% of computer problems are caused by anti-virus software. That's my experience over the past 15 years anyway.
