windows 7 more flakey than a cabury's flake!

Did he ever say what the BSODs said? Would be a good start. If they disappear too fast then untick automatically restart in advanced system settings.

It's not bad. I've had a few issues on my work PC like file permission errors and the edges of windows disappearing but for the most part it's pretty stable. Certainly not as flakey as a cadbury's flake anyway.

Windows 7 used to BSOD on me but that was due to memory issues. I would put £10 on either

1. Your have a faulty mem stick and when the OS tries to write to it... BSOD?
2. PSU is faulty

Until you actually do some frigging diagnostics on hardware, please don't jump to conclusions. Basic scientific principle = keep all variables the same except one. For example, test one memory stick at a time but with all other hardware the same. Stress using Everest memtest or something. That's how I figured out that one of my 2x3GB sticks was faulty.

Or don't listen to us and ****off to Mac hahahahahaha

No issues here on Win 7 64bit unless i overclock. Try everything at stock speeds for a few days to see if you still get the errors

Nothing wrong with Win7 buddy.
Only BSOD's I've had was because my overclock wasn't stable.

Just download the memtest .iso and burn it to CD as an image burn. Then set your optical drive as the priority boot device and it will boot up automatically.

Deffo sounds like the problem either lies with some of your hardware or the squidgy bit between your chair and desk.

You might try reseating all the cards & connectors, see if that makes a difference. Can also try running with barebones or just with one ram stick in at a time.

This is painful to read. You should not use an overclocked machine if you don't know your way around the absolute basics.

When you removed the overclock did you reset the bios to default settings? you may have retained some voltage and frequency settings if you didn't. It is most likely faulty memory so get a memtest done asap.

Windows 7 is the most stable OS I have ever used and is certainly not to blame. Try ringing OCUK CS, they will be more than helpful I'm sure.

Windows 7 64bit

Only bsod on me when my overclock is too harsh , or I have tweaked my mem to tight.
It is the best op system I have ever used imho.

Win 7 BSOD on my PC when i over clock and had CPU voltage too low - Instability crash crash crash.

Your Pc will be the same - Faulty Ram or PSU or Over clock.. simple as
