Windows 7 used to BSOD on me but that was due to memory issues. I would put £10 on either
1. Your have a faulty mem stick and when the OS tries to write to it... BSOD?
2. PSU is faulty
Until you actually do some frigging diagnostics on hardware, please don't jump to conclusions. Basic scientific principle = keep all variables the same except one. For example, test one memory stick at a time but with all other hardware the same. Stress using Everest memtest or something. That's how I figured out that one of my 2x3GB sticks was faulty.
