windows 7 more than one pc

This would be called "Volume Licensing" - not something you can pick up from a shop.
You in effect buy 30 licenses for Windows 7.
They are treated in a similar way to retail licenses - so you can move your 30 licenses around as and when rquired from machine to machine.

You will need to speak to a license reseller.

We use a company called "Softcat" for all our licensing needs and they are great.
I've also used a company called "Phoenix Software" who also knew their stuff.

You really need to speak with one of these resellers as there are various licensing schemes and which one will best suit depends on a number of things.
If you will require more licenses, if you want to license other products (like Office) too if you require Software Assurance so you can always run the latest version of the software etc.

Microsoft has a tool on their website somewhere that can create a quote. It wont be completely accurate but it can give you a good idea of what kind of money you will need.

Or you could contact a reseller and let them quote you! :)

Also volume licencing has changed since WinXP, cannot say when it changed though as never looked into Vista licencing, but you no longer get a volume licence key you will get the choice of a MAK key which only has a certain amount of activations or you will have to use a KMS server with a GVLK, this will require the PC to contact the server every 180 days. My suggestion would be to go with the MAK key as its only 30 computers it should be quite easy to manage.

It would be so nice if just one of my clients used volume licensing! As it is they all started off really small, so have just added new PCs over time.

I dread rebuilds as Product Keys are always going walkabout! :(
