I've just reinstalled Windows 7 64bit and last time I could right click on the Windows Live Messenger exe file and select run in compatibility mode as Vista. It would then run in the system tray and not in the new style taskbar.
With a fresh install and latest version, even selecting compatability mode doesnt make the icon appear in the system tray
Does anyone know how to get round this? Having MSN taking up a large icon area of the taskbar seems silly and I wish they'd include an option to just stick it in the system tray like all previous versions!!
I have the RC 7100 build.
