Hopefully you all can help me with this!

I have Windows 7 on my notebook (Advent Verona)
I have 2 partitions, C for my windows intallation and D for media.
I was going to update my iPhone to the new OS when it told me I needed more space on drive C to update it, so I then used Acronis to resize partition C to add another 10gb from partition D.
All seemed to go smoothly until I logged back on! - the networks aren't working, my sidebar is showing up in weird white boxes, and it's very slow to boot. So it seems the resize of the partition corrupted files :(
I've tried chkdsk and the built in recovery to try and repair startup, but to no avail. The only other option left is to reinstall windows, but with my built in recovery software, it deletes EVERYTHING - from both partitions, which is not something I want to do!

Have you guys got any thoughts on this?
