Not sure if its been mentioned elsewhere, I couldn't find it anyway if it has! Basically sometimes when I turn on my PC it wont connect to the internet. There isn't a pattern into why it does it, just sometimes. And the only way to stop it is to restart, soemtimes even twice!

Anyone any ideas?

Spec in sig :)

I had a similar problem with my wireless connections when I had win7. In my case the problem was the antivirus/firewall suite. Try to uninstall it and check if you still got the same problems and if you do just change software :)

I have seen a similar issue several times with the RC1. I did not see this particular issue in the beta and I have not yet tested in builds post RC1

When this has happened to me it seems related to the "Network Location" of the PC (in network and sharing centre) the system seems to get confused as to which location it should be in and changes it to "unknown" and as such blocks the connection.

Normally after a reboot, the location changes back to the correct one which you have configured e.g. Private / Public / Domain etc and then connectivity is fine.

Sorry I can offer no solution other than to reboot. I have also found that if you leave the PC on for a good 10 mins sometimes it seems to sort its self out and the location changes to the correct one from unkown.

Intersting pointer relating to A/V thanks. I will check the logs.

I've encountered this quite a lot as well....but not since build 7201 (but now punkbuster doesn't work lol ).

Don't restart your computer, just disable the net adapter and re-enable it and that will sort it. Still really annoying though.
