Windows 7 network shares

Guys, following a post yesterday, I have created a library on my media server (which is Windows 7 HP) I've shared it and I have no user accounts with passwords on this machine.

I want to access the share from my work laptop which is joined to a corporate domain, but I want to access it when I'm at home (so same subnet, IP range, etc)

It doesnt connect, even though I have sharing passwords to off on the media server.

Any tips?

what error do you get? Can you try and access the share via IP address?

It's ok, I got it now. I had to add everyone permissions to the folder and set network sharing password protect to no. It still prompts for a user but I don't specify that and it works

Ok, weird, the connection has now dropped out and I can't seem to reconnect. Nothing has changed though.
