Hi

Did a quick search but I couldn't find anything related to this!

When I was downloading a large file, streaming lots of data or generally using the internet intensely I would loose the internet connection. Using the built in Windows 7 troubleshooting wizard would fix the problem temporarily but it would soon return - worst case was loosing the connection every five minutes or so!

I had a search on the net and found references to the problem but no fixes - most people had bought another network card! That was until I found this page - http://social.technet.microsoft.com...g/thread/14c7ee8f-f287-4948-adea-f598b7d18c48

This fix appears to have solved the problem, touch wood, so I thought I'd post it in case anyone else experiences it!

The description isn't that clear so I've rewritten a description below:

1. Click on the Start button, right click on "Computer" and click "Manage"

2. Select "Device Manager" from the left hand side

3. Double click on "Network adapters" in the window on the right

4. Double click on "NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet"

5. Click on the "Advanced" tab

6. Select "Receive Side Scaling" from the list under "Property" and change the Value to Disabled.

7. Click "OK". This will reset your connection and hopefully fix the problem!
