Hello all, some help please.
Currently I have 4 hard drives with multiple partitions. My current Windows 7 installation is starting to become really slow so I am purchasing another hard drive to start a new installation.
However, as I work from home in the evenings, I will not be able to get a full installation of all OS and program files done in one swoop.
So the plan is to remove my current OS HD, install a new drive and install a clean install of Windows 7. At this point though, I will then be removing the new one and placing the old one back in so that I can still use the main system until the new one is fully running.
So the problem then comes when I want to use my original OS HD as a data drive as well as the others. At this point, the OS will be coming from the new HD but both HD's will have mbr's. How do I remove the mdr off the old OS HD, so that there is only the one mdr on the new HD?
Any help appreciated, don't lecture me on why I use partitions or such, please just help with the booting issue.
Cheers
