Windows 7 not recognising my hard drive

So ive spent the last few hours building my new computer and all seemed to be working fine, went to install windows, but it doesnt seem to be recognising the hard-drive.

Im using a Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.D 1TB SATA 6GB/s 32MB Cache, with windows 7 64 bit.

and according to microsoft this should be compatible without any drivers etc....any ideas? :S

these pics show the connections to the motherboard and the connections to the hard-drive

If it's not showing in BIOS then something is wrong. The HDD is definitely spinning right? Recheck that it's connected to the PSU?
 
Its connected to the power supply yeh, using the serial ATA, and then to the motherboard using the Sata cable.

How would i know if its spinning, not able to see?
