I know there are a million threads on this but???

So earlier this year i bought windows 7 oem and now windows 8 has been released and now MS are doing the deal. If I upgrade do I receive full Windows 8 pro.

I have read that you have the option to burn this to a disk can this be used for a clean install if some thing goes wrong e.g. corrupt HDD

I am asking this as I would like to change my rig (mainly my mobo but don't want the cost of having to by a full price copy of Windows again) and also if i have to do a clean install will I have to buy a disk

no its an upgrade only deal, with no going back once installed, apart from manually deleting it and re installing win 7 that is.

as it says in the title, its a upgrade to win 8 pro disk, yes there are work a rounds to do it, but he disk wasn't meant to be used that way.

for me i'd want a clean install, and not take over junk from a older install, so for me it would be no good, but yes the price is good :(
