Will the Windows 7 i am currently using on my main rig work on my mac to?

I am asking because im not sure on the rules of how many times i can use my cd key etc. I will only use it on my home connection, so i should be fine? I just want to install some old games from steam and play them, specially magic the gathering, simple games like that which don't work on OSX.

nope. you need a new license.

can't you install these steam games on your main pc?

Yeah ofc, but i would like to run certain games on my mac, and using my copy of windows 7 would have been the answer. But 1 license for 1 pc makes it not possible

you can get a trial version of windows 7 enterprise for 90 days. just re-install when it runs out.

Hmm i do have my old Windows XP CD and key. The problem is i need at least a CD with service pack 2 combined with it to install on my mac, and my old XP CD don't have that on it. Is there a place i can download XP legally with service packs already combined?

you can combine sp3 with your original cd using this tool....

you just point it towards your original cd and the full sp3 download from MS. it then creates a new ISO which you can then burn to disk.
