Hi all,

Just a few questions about possibly putting Windows 7 onto my netbook, an Asus EEEPC 1000H with 2GB RAM. Note that I have only pre-ordered ONE copy of Windows 7 Home Premium.

I am going to be putting Windows 7 onto my desktop, as it is my main machine, could I then put it onto my 1000H or would I have to order another copy?

And what will the performance be like? Is it comparable to XP? Or is it better/worse?

Cheers

Another copy as it's a different machine.

Not sure about the performance, I'm guessing if you turn off the graphical nice bits it should run fine. It has enough RAM anyway.

I've got it running on a 1000 with 2GB as well. Runs great, especially with a runcore SSD.

I really, really dont know why you would bother. I use Win7 on my main machine, but imo nothing beats EasyPeasy for a netbook, its a 1000H I use it on myself. Well worth checking out if you havnt already.
