try downloading the drives, the latest ones from realtech i think it's the hd audio drivers.

worked on my iMac and i believe it to be the same

32bit version and i dont have a leopard dvd.

ive tried the latest off the realtek site and i dont get any sound output. it shows when i plug in my headphones/speakers but i get no sound.

i thought this may have something to do with the internal speaker.

Try this link for the sound mate, worked perfectly on MacBook Pro, which shares the same onboard sound as your Mac Mini:

Good luck.

so do the os x disks have all the drivers necessary to run windows on a mac? that will come in handy when i do a duel boot on the new imac (when it comes out) for gaming :)

Yep all of the drivers are included though updating some of them yourself from graphics vendors etc is useful too.

Anyone get Windows 7 to work on a Mac Pro (latest octo core model)? I thought I'd give it ago, but after setting up the partition and rebooting the mac, it won't load the windows installer, instead my Mac Pro ejects the DVD and I get left with a lovely dos style blinking cursor screen. I then have to reboot and alt to get back to Leopard.

Tried it several times, in different ways and nadda! Its Windows 7 64bit by the way (which I think maybe the problem).
