I have an old laptop with a P4 3.5Ghz processor, 2GB ram and a Mobility x600..

Would it be alright to put Windows 7 on there as XP has is completely broken and i don't have a CD for it.

Thanks.

i dont see any reasons why not. it probably would run fairly decently too.

might help to have some of the drivers handy if possible though

I can try, but I have a feeling that the 10GB HDD might not be big enough! Darn machine has been sitting doing nothing for ages, probably not worth much now, but had a new screen about 2.5 yrs ago.

can you find any vista audio drivers? Try those if you can.

At the moment i can't find any drivers for it.

According to HP it's a 3D Sound Blaster Pro 16-bit integrated card.

I've looked everywhere and cannot find it, so if anyone has this driver or knows where i can get it from, i would appreciate it greatly as i want sound :(

Thanks.
