I'm about to buy windows 7 prof oem, I wanted to know how to setup the the os so I'll have my programs on my ssd and the remainder of my files on my raid 0 hard drive?

My current had it when I bought it but I can't figure out how to do it.

Is there a guide somewhere?

First, don't buy OEM. You are tying it to that machine and wont be able to use it elsewhere. Go Retail for the few extra quid.

Second, if you right-click on any of your Documents folders [Documents, Music etc.] then click Properties. There should be a Location tab. Click this then click the Move... button. This will let you specify a new location for those folders.

Alternatively you can simply add folders on your RAID to the relevant Library. If you aren't sure what Libraries are in Windows 7, there is a tonne of information on the Interwebs.

Third, if you wish to install programs elsewhere [perhaps something you do not use very often] just change the install path when you install it.
