I had a perfectly stable o/c on xp 64 and now w7 will not allow the o/c. Ok it boots to windows but fails intel burn tests and programs crash

I am i right in thinking that w7 is more sensitive to o/c's particularly memory settings? W7 and programs are stable without the o/c

Well logically, as the only thing that has changed is going from xp to win7 then it would suggest that win7 is the cause of the overclock failure. But to be honest i run an amd x2 6000+ and the o/c difference is only 200mhz or so. No real losss !!

Is that a good thing ? If i can run stable in xp64 for months doing heavy processor intensive 3d rendering for hours on end but cannot do it in w7 it suggests that w7 is not ideal for overclocking
