Some applications have "Tasks" associated with them. Steam is an example you probably all have, Windows Live Messenger is another.
Pin one of these to the Start Menu - so you can see what I mean.
Go to click it on the Start Menu, but don't be uber quick - then this "Tasks" pane appears.
Whilst the "Tasks" pane is animating - you are prevented from launching the application. So you either have to be uber quick, or wait for the animation to complete.
This annoys me every single time I want to launch Steam - so I'm looking for a workaround. Either of these will do:
a) Disable "Tasks" completely - I don't need it
b) Change the hover delay, so I have to hover for ages before the animation disrupts me
