Windows 7, post your base scores and spec!

I ran the winsat disk test, but im unable to keep the results up. What happens, after the test, the results flash up, and then go away. Can anybody tell me how to get the results showing in Command(CMD).

Not sure what is happening there. Open up an administrator prompt and type:

Code:
winsat disk > c:\winsat.txt

That will put the results in a text file on the root of the C drive.

Not sure what the point of the WEI is but here's mine anyway...

Weren't games supposed to quote the WEI level which is required? And how come slower older graphics cards can score higher in this test than newer or more powerful ones? :p

I dont know it this is what you meant by WEI. But, todays games do require higher System Ratings.

Yes that is what I meant. I didn't know the games explorer thing showed the ratings there - I thought they would be quoted on the box etc. If you don't know until you buy the game and install it, it rather defeats the object doesn't it? :p

Have to agree with you. It was only when I loaded the game up, did I see it in the game folder.

Hi haroon, You only got a 5.0 for a 4650 card, glad now I never bought one, in fact my next card will be a 5570.

Doesn't seem a good benchmarking tool when most people end up with a 5.9 even when having high end cpu and gpu products.

Maybe they can introduce a new and better benchmarking tool in windows 8...

meh some of you with ddr2 are getting higher mem scores than my 1600mhz ddr3!

proper benchmarks show my memory bandwidth beeing right though
