It seems Windows 7 (64bit in my case) sleep is fubbared. At least it is on my machine and I'm wondering if anyone has similar problems and solutions.
Essentially, whether its hybrid or normal sleep, I can't get the damned PC to wake up again. No movement of mouse, clicking its buttons or spamming the keyboard will wake it from its slumber.
Worse still I accidentally selected sleep last night instead of shutdown and woke up this morning to find my PC wouldn't post, no bleeps nothing - to which I naturally panicked. Solved that one though, pull the power plug for a few minutes, then boot as normal (drains battery and Ram i suppose thereby clearing sleep state)
Unless i have my power management set to High performance, I also get random freezes, from which the only way out is to reboot the machine.
Ok, simple solution is to just select "high performance" in my power management settings, but I want to be able to use the sleep feature!!
Any suggestions please gratefully accepted!
