Today i have upgraded from Vista Premium 32bit to Windows 7 Premium 64bit.

What i thought i would do is list the problems i have encountered so far with the new operating system and add more problems as i encounter them or post solutions.

Firstly i would like to say that the upgrade went very smoothly and without any problems. However here's some issues i am having at the moment .....

Windows Mail - It took me ages to figure out that Windows 7 Premium did not come with Outlook. You have to download it from here ..... http://home.live.com/

After my clean installation - all my files from Vista were put into a folder call 'old' which i have deleted - i tried to install the chipset/sound drivers for my ASUS P5QL PRO motherboard. The disc that came with my board is not compatible with 64bit systems.

I downloaded and installed the Google Toolbar for IE8 64 bit, but then i found the Adobe Flash Player does not work with it which more or less makes the browser worthless. For now I'll just have to use IE8 32bit , for which i had to download and reinstall the Google Toolbar , even though i had already had it installed for IE 64bit.

At the moment i am trying to download ATI drivers for HD4870 from the ATI site but IE8 just keeps crashing. This is page i keep getting ..... http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=win7/windows-7-64bit .... I am wondering if it's something to do with Net Framework or something.

Clean install? Sounds more like an upgrade if old files were still there.
