Windows 7 product key

Alright folks,

Just built a PC and now I'm missing Windows. I have the CD but I don't have a key for it. Can I buy a key from somewhere? Microsoft's site keeps forwarding me to Windows 8

Not sure about online purchase, but you can install Windows 7 without a key in eval mode as a temporary stopgap until you get a licence.

It's built in to the O/S no? Activate online and purchase a key?
