Evening all,
I got asked today to look at someone's laptop, they were having problems connecting to the internet via a vodafone 3g dongle. Everything connects fine, but you can't connect to any websites in IE, I can ping google fine, tracert to google fine etc.
In the past with this type I've used combofix, but this is windows 7 64bit and I can't see a 64bit download for combofix. I've just got it home and i'm in the process of cleaning it up, I've deleted all the temp files, stopped things running using msconfig etc
It didn't appear to have any anti virus on it, bar norton internet security. So I've installed Microsoft Security Essentials, it updated and I'm running a full scan now. I've also just installed malwarebytes but it won't update.
Anyone got any ideas or other tools I can use?
