I cant figure out the correct settings to share internet connection with PS3. Its wired, so should be straightforward (as it was on XP), but PS3 can not obtain IP address.

I have shared internet connection on Network adaptor, enabled file sharing & streaming (which works ok, PS3 is picking up WMS), and played around with the new Windows 7 Network and sharing centre, but no joy.

Can anyone help?

Will that allow the PS3 to access internet though? I don't have a problem accessing media i just cant get an IP address to connect to internet...

ps google windows 7 with ps3 under the advanced settings select date for month only.
lots off info for U.

Im struggling. All the info is with regards to sharing and streaming media. I have my PS3 wired to PC to gain internet access. I have wired modem, no router, so can not gain access via router, wireless or otherwise. I managed to configure it using XP, but im hitting a wall today!

Im having virgin 50mb installed in 2 weeks, with wireless router, so might just wait for that. Thanks anyway.
