I'm looking to buy windows 7, but don't know which version to get, so any advice appreciated :)

Also is there a version which you can install multiple times ? or are they all restricted to installing on one system only ?

I have my main desktop which is currently running XP and 2 laptops on Vista, i also have a laptop on Win 7 and i find the speed difference etc amazing compared to Vista !

I will also be updating my desktop spec in the near future, so if i can i would like to upgrade all my systems to Win 7 :)

Thanks

Professional or ultimate for me, not much difference between them, I use the ultimate version.

OEM can only be installed on one machine, it is tied to it. Retail or full versions can be installed on several machines but only one at a time per licence.

Yeh it's just for home use.

I was just looking at a Windows 7 family pack, which says it has one license, but can be installed on 3 different systems upgrading the original o/s .... I wonder if this would do the job or if this has any restrictions ? There's always something with Microsoft, i must have a good read :)

Thanks

The family pack is just that - a package that allows you to install a license onto three computers.
(It isn't a special license, rather a special price for a pack of three licenses).
Worthwhile if you have 3 PC's in your household that you want to update.
