Hi all,

Strange one really, can't seem to get around this despite is behaving how I like on my laptop running 7 RC.

I'm on a recent fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium, and Windows Live Messenger is not behaving how I like. I have it on the quick launch area along with Firefox, however when I am signed in it shows like this:

msngr002.jpg

... with nothing in the systray like it normally is/was?

This is with the main window open:

And this is signed out and program closed, and this is also how I would like it to be even when signed in, like it is on my laptop running 7 RC:

I've been fiddling around with it for ages and still can't seem to get it how I want, is it possible? And if so, please let me know how!

Hmmm

I believe in your last picture are actually Quick Launch items, but not sure...also try finding the MSN Messenger exe file and right clicking > changing the compatibility mode to Windows Vista.

hope it helps.

edit: beaten to it!
