I've been trying to setup windows 7 rc (64 bit) up on my spare hard drive and everytime I get a 'cannot create system partition' error. I've fortmatted the drive and tested it for errors without any problem so I'm currently confused as to why Win 7 won't install! Any advice would be appreciated...

Delete all partitions on that drive either in your current OS or when booting the 7 disk. Unplug all other HDDs before booting the 7 disk. Create a partition using the boot disk, NTFS, at the start of the disk (it should do this automatically). Don't worry about the rest of the drive (unpartitioned), you can sort it out once install is working.
Give that a shot, if it doesn't work, reburn 7 to disk at slower write speed.

I'm using WinXP as my main OS, and now checked the MD5 so I'll try unplugging my other HD's later and then try re-installing. Cheers for the advice...
