I have a Sapphire 939 Board with Realtek Chipset, Ive installed the 32Bit Candidate Release of windows 7 but my sound wont work :/

Can anyone help me on this I keep seeing posts on google that realtek now supports 7 but I cant find any links. :( My issue is my device manager says my audio devices works fine but sound options say there is no sound device installed?

Well the orignal drivers froze as soon as i clicked next, it would just hang. These drivers currently got 90% on the install and im still waiting :(

Well I restarted my pc and it worked!! woop. but im not sure if that was something 2do with me disabling the driver certificate option in F8 mode thanks a lot I was pulling my hair out trying to get this to work for about an hour.

I booted back into XP to check what realtek driver was in use there. It was the HD one, not the AC97.

So I installed that. Its funny how I've ignored on board sound for so long, I didnt actually notice the passing of AC97.

yeah i kind of miss ease of use and support for AC97, realtek onboard is a pain at times specially with 64bit. thats why i installed 32bit os so much simpler
