Windows 7 rescue disc

Hi all !

Is the rescue disc "language" sensitive ?

I have swedish as language and have found some downloads of the x86 and x64 rescue discs but wonder if they will work with my version.

I have retail, not OEM.

If its windows 7, Surely the best way is to create your own repair disc in control panel/backup and restore.

Or is the rescue disc something else?

Of course I mean repair disc.

I wondered if the english repair disc (that I found on some webpage) will work with my swedish win 7 retail ultimate

Never heard of a generic repair disk.

It's not a repair disc in the standard sense, it's just a Windows 7 System Repair disc you create after creating a backup using backup and restore centre. It helps you load said backup from whatever media it was backed up on in the event that your Win7 OS drive tanks or the OS is compromised and you have to restore the backup via other means, hence the creation of the repair disc to kickstart the process.

It should be universal, I have used the same disc at work on different machines and have 1 stowed away at home in case the worst happens.

I haven't used one in a while though but I recall it also has some diagnostics and things on.
