Hi, just wondering if anyone can help with a small issue that I have. I've just upgraded my motherboard to a Asus Maximus V Gene and have reinstalled Windows 7. During the part where you get the Windows animation, during boot, I seem to be getting a bit of a delay of around 10-15 seconds before going to desktop. Previously, before the upgrade, the windows animation didn't get a chance to complete before going to desktop. I'm using a Samsung 830 SSD. Everything seems fine once I'm on the desktop, just as snappy as before. All unnecessary start-up programs and services have been disabled. Any ideas, other than reinstalling Windows again?

I have the same problem, sometimes it just freezes and I have to reset, then it boots up fine.

Also, if you have an USB hub connected, that can cause it to hang.

Manage to find what was causing the delay, it was the IRST driver. Seems odd as it never caused a problem before the upgrade.

I just uninstalled it. I've tried a few versions and they all seem to cause a delay. The Windows 7 driver is fine though. It's strange as, they never caused an issue with the MSI motherboard.

If you connect your optical drive to another controller, such as a marvel one (if you have one), the boot will be faster again with the IRST installed.
